Organizational Structures

You need to set up the structure of your organization before creating budget exercises. A structure can consist in three levels.

  • The company represents one of these levels. That is the first one to set up.
  • The company grouping (optional) provides you with a consolidated view of the budgets for several connected companies. You can create a company grouping from two existing companies.
  • The unit is usually a department or a service within the company. When setting up the budget exercise, you can specify the part of the opening balance to assign to each unit for each budget code.

You still enter your budget at company level. You can view the budget at the level of:

  • Units, thanks to the weight assigned to each unit for each budget code
  • Groups, thanks to the consolidation view
